SAILING MAN / PREMIUM ESCAPE · CHEF ON BOARD
13–20 March 2027 / EDEN ISLAND
Your island home. The sea, a chef and time together.
01 / SLOW IS A SKILL
Wake up in your cabin, step barefoot into the cockpit and sit down to a breakfast that is ready. Ahead lies another island, a swim and a day with time to spend together.
The skipper sails the catamaran and the chef looks after meals. Join solo, as a couple or with children. We will meet before the trip and discuss the accommodation and pace that suit your group.

02 / AN ISLAND AT A TIME
Mahé / Eden Island → Praslin → Curieuse → La Digue → Félicité / Îles Cocos → Mahé / Sainte Anne
Many of the islands we love on Sailing Man, with more free time: Curieuse’s giant tortoises, La Digue’s granite beaches, clear water and optional gentle walks. Seychelles is an African island country in the Indian Ocean.
The week includes two longer sea passages between Mahé and Praslin. We plan to return to Mahé early, with a weather buffer, to keep the final day relaxed.
This plan moves with the weather. Your skipper chooses passages, anchorages and landings for the conditions, while we keep the relaxed rhythm and island time. The map is illustrative, not for navigation.
13 — 20.03.2027
0113.03Eden Island / Mahé
Meet the skipper and chef, settle into your cabin and learn the basics aboard. A first shared dinner and a quiet marina night.
0214.03Mahé → Praslin
The first of two longer passages. Breakfast with the chef, sails and a wide horizon. Arrive at Praslin for a swim and time to settle into the island rhythm.
0315.03Curieuse → Côte d’Or
Visit Curieuse under park rules for giant tortoises and a mangrove walk. Return to Praslin with time for the beach, games and a long dinner.
0416.03La Digue
La Digue at your pace: optional cycling, granite-boulder beaches and fresh coconuts. Gentle walks with children, and time for grown-ups to rest too.
0517.03Félicité / Îles Cocos → Praslin
Choose a suitable snorkelling spot for clear water and marine life. If the sea calls for another plan, use a sheltered bay or a shore walk. Back to Praslin by evening.
0618.03Praslin → Mahé
The second longer passage to Mahé. Returning early leaves 19 March as both a weather buffer and an easy island day.
0719.03Mahé / Sainte Anne
Conditions permitting, a short outing to Sainte Anne, swimming or a walk on Mahé. No big checklist. Back to Eden Island Marina in the evening.
0820.03Mahé / SEZ
Leave cabins by 09:00. We help with the airport journey or ideas for a few more days on the islands.
03 / A SEAT AT THE TABLE
Long cockpit breakfasts, fruit after a swim, fresh fish and dinner at anchor. The chef plans the menu, helps with shopping and cooks aboard. We will also visit island restaurants when the group feels like it.
The chef's work is included. Groceries and drinks come from the shared budget. Tell us about dietary preferences, children's meals and allergies before the trip.

04 / YOUR HOME AT SEA
Lagoon 42 · Golden Bride · 2024
We choose a recent, well-kept air-conditioned catamaran with comfortable double cabins. A spacious cockpit, bright saloon and a private bathroom for each cabin make it easy to be together and still have your own space.
The 2024 Lagoon 42 Golden Bride illustrates the model and standard of space. We confirm the specific boat and equipment before booking.

Air conditioning and the watermaker depend on onboard power and the boat’s operating routine. Your skipper will coordinate a comfortable schedule.

The photographs show Lagoon 42 Golden Bride as an example of layout and comfort. We agree the actual catamaran and equipment before booking.

Travel terms ↗06 / AN EASY ARRIVAL

Fly to Seychelles International Airport, SEZ, on Mahé. Eden Island Marina is about ten minutes away by car. Arrive on 12 March for a hotel night and an unhurried start, or on the morning of 13 March. Check-in follows the boat’s preparation.
We help organise a taxi or shared transfer. The price depends on the vehicle and passengers; as a guide, a car for five from the airport to the marina is around SCR500.
We plan to return to Mahé on 18 March, leaving the 19th for time near the base and a weather buffer. Home marina on the evening of 19 March; check-out by 09:00 on 20 March. Choose return flights from 12:00, allowing for your airline’s check-in requirements. Stay a day or two longer on Mahé if you can.
Russian citizens do not need a tourist visa. All visitors need Travel Authorisation before departure, with a passport, return or onward ticket and accommodation confirmation. We help with the charter confirmation. Recheck the rules for your nationality and flight itinerary before booking.
Bring an international bank card and some cash in Seychelles rupees for small shops and island cafés. Currency exchange is available at the airport.
For mobile data we recommend the MobiMatter app. Choose a Seychelles eSIM and check your phone's compatibility before travel. Signal can drop at sea and in secluded bays.
Medical travel insurance covering sailing is required. Choose cover for your destination and activities and bring your policy confirmation.
Swimwear, light long sleeves, a hat, sunglasses and SPF. Shoes for deck and walks, personal medicines, a powerbank and waterproof phone protection. Remember earplugs and a sleep mask. Large suitcases are welcome on catamarans; see storage and Dyson advice below.
MAHÉ / EDEN ISLAND MARINA
Three places on Mahé near our starting point, Eden Island Marina. Arrive early, get some sleep and meet the crew without rushing.
Simpler stay / guesthouse
A small guesthouse in La Louise, on a ridge above the east coast. Air-conditioned rooms and a plunge pool. A simpler option before or after the week; you will need a taxi to Eden Marina.
Convenient / at the marina
On Eden Island with direct access to the international marina. The easiest choice for logistics: restaurants, shops and boats nearby, convenient before boarding and after returning.
Premium / a spa escape
A boutique resort with a spa and its own marina in Roche Caiman, near Eden Island. A good option for adding a few more luxurious days to your sailing week. Reaching our marina requires a separate journey.
These are options for independent booking; hotel stays are not included. Compare rates for your dates: the final price, breakfast, early check-in and cancellation terms depend on the offer. We will confirm taxis and the meeting point before departure.
SAILING MAN / FEEL AT HOME
A few useful answers to make packing easy and help you feel at home aboard.
Yes, you can bring a large suitcase on a catamaran. We will find a place in a storage compartment or under a berth where the layout allows. You do not need to arrange to leave it at the marina in advance. For an unusually large case, send us its dimensions before travelling so we can agree storage aboard or, if needed, at the marina. Monohulls have less storage, so a soft bag is easier.
Yes, Dyson and other hair dryers are usually welcome on a catamaran. Use them on shore power or with the generator running, provided the supply and socket can handle the load. Check with the skipper before plugging in: we will confirm your model and voltage, the boat's equipment and other appliances in use. A running generator does not make every socket suitable.
Bring your favourite dresses, outfits and hats for sunsets, dinners and island walks. You can pack heels for going out in town too. Aboard, go barefoot or wear clean, non-slip deck-friendly shoes; save heels for shore.
Pack comfortable personal earplugs and a sleep mask. Marinas can be noisy, and voices and everyday sounds travel between cabins. These two small things can help you rest on both yachts and catamarans.
07 / GOOD TO KNOW
No. The skipper sails the catamaran and introduces life aboard and simple safety rules. Helping with the sails is optional.
Children and teenagers are welcome. We discuss ages, accommodation, lifejackets and the right pace with parents before booking. Children travel with their own accompanying adults; we choose shared walks and sea discoveries for the whole crew.
Of course. This is a relaxed week for people who enjoy the sea, comfort and a small group. Come solo or as a couple; we help with accommodation and tell you about the crew beforehand.
The chef’s work is included. Ingredients, drinks and shore spending come from the shared budget, around €500 per person for the week together with other common costs. We agree menus and budget details beforehand.
