Please read the rules before making your first payment. We tell you in advance about the important conditions for making a conscious decision to travel. If you want to clarify something, write us down. We'd better discuss it on the shore.
Your place is behind you.
These rules apply to Sailing Man sailing adventures. The organizer is Anton Igorovich Timochin. The dates, cost, program composition, services included and additional expenses for a specific trip are recorded in the travel description and written booking confirmation.
The place is secured to you after receipt of the first payment and our written confirmation. Until then, the application or correspondence itself does not guarantee the availability of a place. With the confirmation, we will report the amounts and calendar dates of the remaining payments.
A yacht is a small house for a certain number of people. To choose good boats and convenient dates, we book them for a year or even earlier. Once the location is confirmed, we calculate the team and make commitments to the charter companies and partners. So last-minute cancellation isn't just a free cabin, it's already scheduled and paid expenses.
Before paying, we send the participant a link to this rulebook. Payment after the meeting means acceptance of the terms of participation. Individual agreements are valid if they are confirmed in writing. The new rules do not change the terms of a reservation that has already been confirmed without specific agreement.
Three steps to the sea
When booking
The first deposit will secure a spot behind you.
9 weeks before departure
The second payment is no later than 63 days before launch.
6 weeks before departure
The final payment is no later than 42 days before the start.
All interest is calculated from the full agreed value of your participation. The currency, the payment method and, if necessary, the order of re-counting are recorded before the first payment.
We can settle on a 50/50 scheme: 50% when booking and 50% no later than 6 weeks before launch. Such a scheme is only applicable after our written confirmation. The first payment is subject to the same seven-day return period, while the second one is subject to a lower non-return period.
If you join less than 9 weeks before the start, you'll get 60% of the booking fee; less than 6 weeks is the full cost. When booking late, we specify in advance which part applies to the first, second and third payments.
If you cannot make your next payment on time, please notify us before the deadline. If the deadline is over, we will contact you in writing and inform you of an additional deadline. If payment is not received and another schedule is not agreed, the booking can be cancelled by applying the cancellation rules.
If the plans have changed
Seven days to change my mind.
The first payment can be refunded in full if you notify the refusal within 7 calendar days of receipt and before the adventure begins. The period is calculated from the next calendar day after payment. For a standard scheme, it's 30%, for a 50/50 scheme, the first 50%.
Write this down . info@sailingman.com Or the same chat with the organizer that confirmed the reservation. Please indicate your name, travel and payment date. To meet the deadline, just send the message on time; keep the confirmation of delivery. The first payment in this period is returned within 10 calendar days after receipt of the application and the required payment details.
After seven days .
After seven days, the first payment is irrevocable. The second and third payments are not refunded if the participant refuses to travel. With a 50/50 scheme, the second payment is also non-refundable.
By this time, we are already chartered and the final payment of the yacht is fully paid. We pay in advance for the training, program and services of partners. Charter companies set their own return deadlines and limits, so when you cancel, we keep those costs and risks.
Cancellation conditions include changing personal plans, illness, refusal or delay of a visa, delay, cancellation or postponement of the flight and early termination of the trip on the initiative of the participant. The seven-day return only applies to the first payment: making the second or third payment does not trigger a new return period.
You can transfer the seat to someone else .
If you can't go, you can find a replacement. Let us know as soon as possible. We'll approve the new entrant, check the necessary documents and change the crew lists. The replacement must meet the requirements of the specific route, adopt these rules and be able to document the change.
We don't take a separate commission for the replacement itself. If the charter company or other suppliers have costs to pay for the re-certification, we will notify them in advance and agree to the payment. You and the replacement participant agree on your own; we confirm in writing the transfer of the seat and the sums paid for it. Without such confirmation, the reservation remains with the original participant.
We can help offer vacant seats to others willing, but we cannot guarantee that we will find a replacement. There is no automatic transfer of payment for another adventure; this option can be discussed separately.
Documents and roads
The participant is responsible for the valid passport, visas, entry and transit permits, compliance with the requirements of the country of destination and arrival at the meeting place on time. Assistance with visa or ticket selection does not guarantee the decision of the consulate, border service or airline.
If the flight is not included in the cost, the participant shall arrange the relationship with the carrier independently. Sailing Man is not responsible for flight delays, cancellations and denials that have occurred without our fault. These circumstances in themselves do not alter the above cancellation conditions and do not oblige us to delay the entire team's departure. The possibility of reaching the yacht, meeting point and additional expenses must be agreed with the captain.
Before you travel, you should have health insurance in place for yachting and scheduled activities. We recommend that you consider cancellation insurance separately and carefully check its exceptions.
Inform the organiser in advance of health restrictions, allergies and other circumstances that may affect safety, nutrition or assistance. We'll discuss the possibilities of a particular boat and route. Emergency medical care is not always available on board; take your usual medicines and prescriptions with you.
At sea , the last word is for the captain .
All participants are instructed before they leave. The captain's instructions on navigation, use of life-saving equipment, boarding, swimming, landing and emergency operations are mandatory. Do not operate equipment without permission and do not start water activities without agreement. If you don't understand something, ask right away.
Alcohol - moderately and after welding
A glass for dinner after safe welding or anchorage, unless the captain has restrictions. Drunkenness that interferes with the safety, respectful communication or rest of others is unacceptable. After drinking alcohol, you cannot sail a yacht or inflatable boat, carry a boat, swim, dive, or participate in equipment work.
Drugs are an absolute taboo.
Our adventures prohibit the storage, transportation, distribution and use of drugs and recreational intoxicants. The rule also applies where specific substances are permitted by local regulations. On the yacht, it's a risk to the entire crew, the captain and the ship. If necessary, we will contact the competent authorities.
Medicines prescribed by a doctor are not covered by this ban: carry them legally, with the necessary documents. If the medication affects your attention or well-being, discuss safe participation with your doctor in advance and confidentially warn the captain.
Take care of the yacht, the equipment, nature and other things. Notify the captain immediately of any breakage or damage. The damage caused by the participant's fault is considered separately with the determination of the circumstances and confirmation of the amount. The conditions of the insurance deposit for the yacht, if provided for, shall be communicated before booking.
Different people.
Respect for each other.
People come to us from all over the world, from all walks of life, from all walks of life, from all walks of life. We welcome everyone - regardless of nationality, race, gender, religion or sexual orientation. It's not how similar we are on board, it's how we treat each other.
- Personal boundaries are mandatory. not means not . Touch, intimacy, taking and posting personal photos require consent. A person doesn't have to explain refusal.
- There is no discrimination. Chauvinism, racism, sexism, homophobia, bullying, harassment, humiliating jokes, threats and aggression are incompatible with our adventures.
- Common space - without political or religious disputes. We don't campaign, we don't figure out which country, religion, orientation or gender is right, and we don't force the conversation. If the subject is tense or someone asks you to stop, we change the subject. The sea has a much more pleasant occasion for conversation.
- Self-expression is welcome. Creativity, vivid images and individuality make the journey alive. The guidelines are simple: volunteerism, respect for borders, security and the laws of the country of residence. Flags, decor, loud music and changes in the common space are agreed in advance with the captain and team.
If you are uncomfortable or you have encountered a border breach, tell the captain or the organizer in person. You don't have to resolve a conflict alone in front of the whole team. We'll listen to the parties and take action to protect the people and stop the violation.
When you have to break up
When the rules are broken, the organizer or captain usually explains the problem first and asks for an immediate end to the behavior. Repeated violations, excessive alcohol use, refusal to comply with safety instructions, discrimination, harassment and aggression can be grounds for the organiser to unilaterally terminate participation and terminate the contract.
No prior warning is required for violence, life or health threats, drugs and other serious security threats. The captain can immediately restrict participation in work and activities, organize separation of people in conflict and seek help.
Landing shall be carried out in the nearest suitable safe marina or port, taking into account the weather, navigational conditions, border rules and human condition. We don't land people at sea or in a known dangerous place. If necessary, medical services or local authorities are involved.
If you're suspended for violating these rules, the cost of the remaining program will not be refunded under our terms. The participant organizes and pays for further accommodation and travel. The circumstances of the violation and the decision of the organizer are recorded in writing. Respectful disagreements, complaints or requests for assistance are not in themselves a violation.
Plans take the sea into account
The published itinerary by day is a travel plan. The weather, sea conditions, restrictions imposed by the authorities, the availability of stops and technical circumstances can change the order of stops, transits and individual activities. The captain makes decisions based on safety and informs the team of the reasons. Encounters with wild animals, specific weather and availability of natural sites are not guaranteed.
If there are any significant changes before the start, we contact the participants and discuss further action. If the Sailing Man cancels the adventure, the non-return rule does not apply: we offer a transfer by arrangement or a refund for non-provided services.
In emergencies beyond the parties' reasonable control, such as closure of borders or ports, natural disasters, or military operations, we will promptly report how they affect travel and agree on available options separately. The very fact of such circumstances does not mean that all risks are automatically transferred to the participant.
We're responsible for the obligations you've made in confirming your booking. Third-party services ordered independently are governed by the terms and conditions of their suppliers. These rules do not absolve the organizer of responsibility for his own guilty acts.
Let 's talk first .
Questions about rules, payment, replacement or cancellation can be sent to info@sailingman.com or chat with the organizer where the reservation was made. Please indicate the name and date of the trip so that we can find your application faster.
The organizer: I have to go to the police. The full details of the contracting party and the person receiving the payment are given in the booking documents before the payment is made. Personal data shall be processed in accordance with Privacy policy.
Thank you for reading.
Now you can think of the sea.
